About this publication

Water equipment is sold nationally. Water problems are local and specific.

Water Filter Report exists to connect those two facts without turning uncertainty into a sales pitch.

What we are building

This is an independent research publication about residential water treatment. We examine whole-house filters, softeners, reverse-osmosis systems, and well-water treatment through model-level documentation, independent certification listings, ownership costs, and clearly described testing.

What we are not

We are not a laboratory, water utility, plumbing contractor, medical provider, certification body, or equipment manufacturer. Our guides help readers ask better questions and locate evidence. They do not replace sampling, laboratory analysis, public-health guidance, or site-specific professional design.

Who writes the report

The Water Filter Report Research Desk performs the current documentation reviews. Each ranking names the review type and date. We examine manufacturer manuals, current certification listings, performance sheets, maintenance schedules, and published terms. Where hands-on testing has not occurred, the site says so plainly.

Our current stage

The first edition publishes documentation-based rankings for whole-house filters, water softeners, and reverse-osmosis systems. Physical installation, laboratory sampling, support-call testing, and long-term ownership will only be added when completed and recorded.

Corrections and challenges

Manufacturers, certification bodies, professionals, and readers may challenge a factual statement by providing the exact model, source document, and disputed language to editor@waterfilterreport.com. Substantive changes are dated within the affected page’s research record.
