Editorial policy
Every strong claim needs a nearby source.

Primary sources first
Regulations, utility reports, laboratory results, certification listings, performance data sheets, manuals, and written warranty terms take priority over retailer summaries and affiliate copy.

Exact-model language
A claim attached to one model, size, cartridge, or generation is not automatically applied to related products. We record identifiers wherever a naming family could create ambiguity.

No implied testing
Research, installation, laboratory sampling, physical measurement, long-term use, and expert review are described separately. We never use “tested” to mean that we read a manufacturer’s webpage.

Claims stay within scope
Certification to a standard is stated alongside the exact claim when available. We do not turn aesthetic improvement, component certification, or testing to a method into a blanket safety claim.

Corrections remain visible
Material changes to scores, certification status, model identity, pricing logic, or a central conclusion will be dated in the affected page’s research record.
